Given, AC = BD.
AC = AB + BC _____ eq.(i)
BD = BC + CD _____ eq.(ii)
From eq.(i) and eq.(ii), we get
AC = BD
or, AB + BC = BC + CD
By cancelling the common term, we get
AB = CD
Hence, proved.
