In figure AC=XD,C is the midpoint of AB and D is the midpoint of XY.using Euclid’s axiom show that AB=XY

Step-by-step explanation:

given c is the midpoint of AB and d is the midpoint of XY.

so,

AC=BC and XD=DY

also,AC=XD

so,BC=DY

(as by Euclid's axiom,things which are equal to the same things are equal.)

so,

AC+BC=XD+DY

AB=XY

(as by Euclid's axiom,if equals are added to equals,the wholes are equal).
