in figure are shown below, the velocity

shashankavsthi: option c you can find by checking for derivative.
arnav07arnav: but tha correct answer is d
shashankavsthi: How can they take area! accorsing to definition velocity is dx/dt
shashankavsthi: ask ur teacher dear...because i think it should be c
arnav07arnav: k thx
shashankavsthi: i got it!!...since velocity is vector quantity means have magnitude and direction so, when we take whole journey so from O to A it's+ve whereas in A to B it's-ve and when we take whole we get velocity 0
arnav07arnav: o wow thanks
arnav07arnav: So we can conclude that acceleration decreases from o to a and acceleration increases from a to b
shashankavsthi: yup!...because acceleration means increase in velocity and velocity increased from O to A while decreased from A to B

Hi friend here is your answer.

*************************************
We know Velocity=displacement/time

or Velocity is proportional to displacement and inversely proportional to time.

Since time is constant, so Only displacement will affect velocity.

So , clearly Option C. is correct.
