 \sf40 \degree \:  + 3y + 2y = 180 \degree \:  ....\sf{linear \: pair} \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf \: 5y = 180 \degree - 40 \degree \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{}y =  \frac{140 \degree}{5}  \\  \\ \implies  \sf{}y = 28 \degree
