=) 2x-x = -4+1

=) x= -3

so, 4x-2=4

4x= 4+2

x= 6/4

AB||CD , given

then we need to prove triangle AOB and triangle OBC congruent,

in triangle AOB and triangle OBC.

》angle BAO = angle OCD, ( GIVEN , AB||CD)

》angle ABO = angle ODC, ( GIVEN , AB||CD)

》angle AOB = angle DOC, ( VERTICALLY OPPOSITE ANGLE)

》triangle AOB is congruent to triangle OBC ( AAA CRITERION ) ----------------- equation 1

》AO = OC [C.P.C.T] ----------------- equation 1

》OB = OD [C.P.C.T] ----------------- equation 2

From equation 2 ,

2x + 4 = x + 1

2x - x = 1 - 4

x = -3

HENCE THE VALUE OF x is -3
