AE is 8 cm and EC is 12 cm

and  the angle ADB = 48°

Now we will solve this question:

AD/DB = 6/9 = 2/3 (this is an equation 1)

AE/EC = 8/12 = 2/3 (this is an equation 2)

We will get this from both equation 1 and 2:

AD/DB = AE/EC

So

DE // BC

<ABC = <ADB = 48° (here we used thales theorem)
