To find: The measure of ∠y.

Answer:

Let as assume 'x' to be an angle.

x = 60° (When two lines are parallel, the corresponding angles will be equal)

Let us assume 'r' to be another angle.

x + r = 180° (Supplementary Angles)

60° + r = 180º

r = 180° - 60°

r = 120°

r + 25° + y = 180° (Angle Sum Property)

120° + 25° + y = 180°

145° + y = 180°

y = 180° - 145°

y = 35°
