angle bod =160°
so angle x = 160÷2=80 ( angle subtended at the center by a arc is double the angle subtended by it on any point)

now reflex angle bod =360-160=200
reflex bod =200
y =200÷2=100 ( angle subtended by an arc is double the angle subtended by it on any point)

Answer:

x = 100°

y = 80°

In the given figure,

Let us draw an arc and join BD

Angle y = 160°/2 = 80°

(Angle substantiated by an arc is double at the center than any point on the circle)

The complimentary Angle BOD = 360° - 160° = 200°

There fore, using the same property,

Angle x = 200°/2 = 100°
