In ∆PAC,
BQ / AP = CB / CA
or, y / x = CB / CA
or, CB / CA = 3 / 5 ______(i)
Again, In ∆ACR,
BQ / CR = AB / AC
or, 3 / z = AB / AC _____(ii)
Adding Equation (i) and (ii), we get,
3/5 + 3/z = CB/CA + AB/AC
or, 3z + 15 = 5z
or, 2z = 15
or, z = 15 / 2
