So  ∠ OAB =  ∠ OBA = 40°

Since PQ is tangent on the circle. So OB is perpendicular to PQ. So

∠ OBP = 90°

∠ ABP  = 90 - ∠ OBA

⇒ ∠ ABP  = 90 - 40

⇒ ∠ ABP  = 50°
