Step-by-step explanation:

Answer:-

  • From the graph, we need to find zeroes of p(x)

What we need to do?

  • p(x), so we need zeroes of x quadrant

Trick or solution:-

  • The number of waves which touch x axis, is the required number of zeroes.
  • Never, count the waves touching y axis.
  • If it is written p(y), then y and not x axis.

Now, refer to attachment how I came up with the answer.

  • I didn't count the wave touching y axis.
  • So, the required answer is 2.

Hence, 2 zeroes are there in this polynomial.

Precautions:-

  • 1 and 2 are the number of zeroes.
  • Do not count them as the required zeroes.
  • Also, zeroes are -3 and -1.
  • The zeroes are on 3rd quadrant.
  • The quadrants are counted Anti clockwise.
