if the measures of the corresponding sides of two triangles are proportional then the triangles are similar.

PQ/AB = PR/AC = QR/BC

3/Z = Y/4√3 = 6/8 

3/Z = 6/8
⇒ Z = 24

Y/4 √3 = 6/8
⇒Y = 3 √3

Therefore, Y+Z = 3 √3+24
