In Funaria, calyptra is derived from Archegonium.

The young sporogonium is covered by haploid covering known as calyptra that can be derived from the cells of venter of archegonium.

It is also said to be the female reproductive organs in mosses or ferns.

You can see the occurrence of archegonium in the gymnosperms.
