In gaseous phase, which of the following has the
highest ionic size for idential co-ordination number?
(1) Li+(g)
(2) Na+(g)
(3) K+(g)

Answer: K+ has highest ionic size among the given options in the gaseous state . The ionic size increases on moving down the group so it is greater then that of Li+ & Na+ ions . For Cu+ both the potassium ion and coprous ion are in a same perion and within a period the ionic size descreases on moving towards right.
