In general size of the cell has no relationship to the size of the organism . How do the nerve cell in a rat and a giraffe competed in their length

The evolutionary changes occurred in Giraffe to find its proper food. That is they developed long necks and rest of its body also became massive. So as the nerve cells are also very long. This made the animal to respond very slowly to the outside environment. This is quite different in rats which possess a very small body. Their response to stimuli is so fast that they exhibit jumpy movements.
