In genetic disorders , females are not mostly affected they mostly acts as carriers . why? and how.?

hey!!! females are not mostly affected because the diseases remains in X chromosome, then females have XX chromosomes, so one of the chromosome sill be affected and other will be remaining safe, but, incase of males, they have XY chromosomes, so if the X chromosome is affected, then they will have the particular genetic disease.....
