Hello friend...!!!

According to the question we should find the total resistance in the circuit.

• in the above diagram R2 and R3 are parallely connected.

So 1 / R = 1 / R2. + 1 / R3

Implies 1 / R = 1 / 8 + 1 / 12

1 / R = 5 / 24

implies R = 24 / 5 --------( 1 )

This R is in series connection with R1

Therefore,

R (total) = R1 + R

R ( total) = 2 + 24 / 5

Implies ,

R(total) = 34 / 5 .

Therefore R(total) = 6.8 ohm.
