here AC=BD
you can see BC is common in both.
by axiom, AC-BC=BD-BC( equal is subtract from equal has equal results)
so AB=CD
proved

\textbf{ Hello Mate! }

The question bangs from Euclid Geometry.

Given : AC = BD.

To Prove : AB = CD

Proof : AC = CD ( Given )

AC = AB + BC

BD = BC + CD

Substituting values we get

AB + BC = BC + CD

Same things get cancelled out

We are left behind with,

AB = CD

\textbf{ Q.E.D }

Have great future ahead!
