Answer:

<ab= <ad givan

<and= <adb =x (let)

As we know : the sum of three angles of a triangle is 180°

X + x + <dab = 180° given <dab = 42°

2x + 42° =180°

2x =138°

X = 69° = <abd =<adb =69°

In triangle BDC

Given that

Cb = CD

<cbd=<dbc = y (let)

As we know

The sum of three angles of a triangle is 180°

So

Y + y + <bcd = 180°

2y +108° = 180°

2y = 180- 108

2y = 72°

Y = 36°

Hence <ABC = <abd + <dbc

< ABC = 69° + 36°

< ABC = 105° this is the required answer
