Your Solution:

x = 108° + 30° = 138° (Exterior angle is equal to the sum of opposite angles in a triangle).

If we stretch the AB line and join line CE, a small triangle will form. Let the point on CE where AB is joined is "F". As we know AB || CD then AF || CD. So, ∠DCE = ∠AFE = 108°. So, x = 138° as it is an exterior angle for ∆BEF. (and the reason is written in Bold Letters)
