In haber's process rate of formation of ammonia is 1.7kg/hr. calculate rate of consumption of H2 in g/m​?

This q is completely based on Rate law of chemical kinetics. Points to remembered every time you solve these type of questions

  • Reactants form product,thus rate of change of concentration of reactants is negative as its decreasing.To make it positive as rate is always positive we put -sign multiplied with dR/dt.
  • No of moles taken that is stoichiometric coefficient ,say mis divided by dC/dt if in balanced chemical reaction if mC occurs as reactants(with negative sign) and positive if in product.
