floor and 306 to 345 on the third floor, with no room on the ground floor. In the month of June
2018, the room occupancy was 60% on the first floor, 40% on the second floor and 75% on the
third floor. If it is also known that the room charges are Rs.200, Rs.100 and Rs.150 for each of
the floors, starting from first floor to third floor, respectively, then what is the average income per
room (in Rs.) for the month of June 2018?

Answer:

151.50

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a question on mean

To get the average income per room we must forat find the number of rooms used in that month

1 st floor = 30 rooms

Since 60 % of the rooms were used

60/100 × 30 = 18 rooms used

2nd floor = 40 rooms

Since 40% of the rooms were uses

40/100 × 40 = 16 rooms

3rd floor has also 40 rooms

Since 75% of the rooms are used

75/100 × 40 = 30 rooms

We the proceed to finding the total cost per floor Because each floor had its specific cost per room

1st floor = 18 × 200 = 3600

2nd floor = 16 × 100 = 1600

3rd floor = 30 × 150 = 4500

It is easier now to find the average cost per room

We simply add all the cost per floor the divide by the number of rooms

3600 + 1600 + 4500 = 9700 r.s

18 + 16 + 30 = 64 rooms

9700  ÷ 64 = 151.50
