In house ,10bulbs of 100watts each ,5fans of 60watt each ,one refrigerater of 1000watt are in use If all the appliances are used for 10hours calculate electrical energy consumed in 30days If cost of electrical is 4rupees per unit ,find the expenditure of consumed electical energy in 30days

We have,

Power used by 10 bulbs = 10 * 100 = 1000 W

Power used by 5 fans = 5 * 60 = 300 W

Power used by the refrigerator = 1000 W

∴ Total power used, P = 2,300 W = 2.3 kW

Usage time per day = 10 hrs

∴ Total usage time for 30 days, t = 10*30 = 300 hrs

Energy consumed = Pt = 2.3 kW * 300 hrs = 690 kWh or 690 units

Cost of consumed electrical energy = 690 kWh * 4 = Rs. 2,760
