So , he tried to diagnose the melancholic mindset of Antonio was referring that Antonio was sad because he had huge ships with royal or stately ships which moved in different directions .So, it was obvious that Antonio was doing a risky job which made him feel gloomy .

*further he also tries to console Antonio that his ships were like important citizens which moved over the ship and that the small merchant ships gave his ship deep respect out of honor .And therefore all his merchandise would be safe.
