daily has 5 letters . None of them repeated.

5*4*3*2*1 = 120 taken all five

Case 2 : any number of letters can be selected , without repetition

daily has 5 letters . None of them repeated

taken 1 at a time : 5

taken 2 at a time = 5 * 4 = 20

taken 3 at a time = 5 * 4 * 3 = 60

taken 4 at a time = 5 * 4 * 3 * 2 = 120

5 * 4 * 3 * 2 * 1 = 120 ( taken all five )

Therefore , total number will be 325 ( 5 + 20 + 60 + 120 + 120 ) .
