History.

Ancient :

Covers the prehistory i.e. Beginning of life or time or the Earth. Mostly in form of hieroglyphs of god and humans to the early middle ages.

Age of emergence of civilisations. For a civilisation to have a history, it must have left written records. Although various civilisations existed (Indus valley in Indian subcontinent), but no crucial written documents are found.

All these Civilisations have different timelines and different culture. No significant proof of how they came into existence only assumptions.

The span of recorded ancient history is roughly 5,000 years, beginning with Sumerian Cuneiform script, the oldest discovered form of coherent writing from the protoliterate period around the 30th century BC.

Now the Ancient world evolves into the Middle Ages or Medieval History

Medieval :

Ancient world makes a transition in late antiquity.

Covers from 300 AD to 1400 AD (roughly).

This period is was the one in which the Roman Empire became Christian. Constantinople started to dominate the world.

In the end Mohammad and Islam started to become defining force and it overtook Romans.

These are the time of great change, bringing Europe from classical age to Renaissance. Christianity became important. Changes were more evolutionary than revolutionary.

In the 19th century, the entire Middle Ages were often referred to as the "Dark Ages".

Modern

The European Renaissance (1432) marks the beginning of Modern World. It is the Age of Discovery.

Notable milestones of modern history are : French Revolution, American Revolution, Industrial Revolution etc.

It took all the human history to reach population mark of 1 Billion in 1804.

We saw World Wars and countries coming up from merely being British or French colonies to establish self rule.

This is the age of modern man and few refer to it as Digital Age.
