The number of arrangements in total, if there were no restrictions is

9!/(2!*2!) = 90720

Answer:

Most of our students are forever curious to know more about how their teachers were as students. In fact, it is quite normal for students to wonder if their role models (their teachers) had the same aspirations, thoughts, troubles when they were of the same age. So here is a run down of a few questions our students keep coming back with and our answers to them:

How did you study without the internet?

Great question! The answer is simple -- you don’t need something you are not used to/don’t have. We did spend a lot of time at the library and hoped to get our hands on hand-me-down notes from our seniors.

If you were a child during this pandemic how would you have concentrated on your studies?

The pandemic and subsequent lockdowns have not been an easy time. Had we been students in 2020 we’d have first focused on our physical and mental health -- very, very important! Eating healthy, exercising, meditating, sharing our thoughts with others, and having a steady sleep cycle would become an integral part of our daily routine.

Coming to studies itself we’d perhaps created a daily study timetable with more time allocated to subjects that we were weaker in. Virtual study groups would be a good addition to stay in touch with friends and add a fun spin to learning. Involving parents into the study process would be a good move by getting them to quiz you, screen films that could be educational, or conduct safe experiments.

Did you like studying?

Well, just like most of you, there were days we really wanted to study and days when we did not want to. There were subjects we liked and subjects we disliked. Teachers we feared and teachers we just loved! But most of us made it a point to work around these, we figured how to make learning fun, create techniques to remember what we learn better, and easier ways to understand concepts. A lot of how we teach and what we teach you today is inspired by our own years as students.

Did you ever bunk classes?

Ah, now that’s a tricky one. Let’s just say that going to school/college comes with its own thrills, fun, and learning experiences. As long as you don’t steer away from your goals and maintain the discipline you need to get there it’s okay to indulge once in a while -- we repeat -- ONLY once in a while.

What were your guilty pleasures while staying up late while studying?

For most of us here it had to be lots and lots of namkeens, hot flavored milk and those evergreen jams playing out on late night radio shows (yes! We grew up listening to the radio). And if you had a friend or a group of them staying over to prepare for an exam, then we made sure to have fun while preparing to ace the exam the next day.

All the best
