GIVEN :

  • Principle (1) :- ₹150

  • Rate (1) :- 6%

  • Principle (2) :- ₹800

  • Time (2) :- 2 years

  • Rate (2) :- 4½%

TO FIND :

  • Time taken in first situation.

FORMULA REQUIRED :

  • \bigstar{ \underline{\boxed{\red{ \bf{SI = \dfrac{P \times R \times T}{100}}}}}} \bigstar

  • \bigstar{ \underline{\boxed{\red{ \bf{T= \dfrac{SI \times 100}{P \times R}}}}}} \bigstar

SOLUTION :

In Second Situation :

Substituting the values in first formula :

 \longmapsto {\sf {\dfrac{800 \times 2 \times 9}{100 \times 2}}}  \\ \\

 \longmapsto {\sf { \dfrac{\cancel{800} \times 2 \times 9}{\cancel{100} \times 2} }} \\ \\

\longmapsto {\sf {\dfrac{8 \times 2 \times 9}{2}}} \\ \\

 \longmapsto {\sf {\cancel{\dfrac{144}{2}} = 72 }}

In First Situation :

Substituting the values in Second Formula :

 \longmapsto \sf T =  \dfrac{72 \times 100}{150 \times 6}  \\ \\

 \longmapsto \sf T = \cancel{ \dfrac{7200}{900}}  \\ \\

 \longmapsto \huge {\underline{\boxed{\green{\bf {T= 8 \:  years}}}}}

\huge{\pink{\therefore}} Time taken in first situation is 8 years.
