Given: Principal = Rs. 7,000

           Rate of interest = 10%

           Simple Interest = Rs. 2,100

To find: In how much time the simple interest will be Rs. 2,100 on given principal.

Solution: According to the given question,

Principal (P) = Rs. 7,000

Rate of interest (R) = 10% p.a.

Simple Interest (S.I.) = Rs. 2,100

Time (T) = ?

Simple \ Interest = \frac{P \ * \ R \ * \ T}{100}

2,100 = \frac{7,000 \ * \ 10 \ * \ T}{100}

T = \frac{2100 \ * \ 100}{7000 \ * \ 10}

T = \frac{210000}{70000}  = 3 \ years

Hence, in 3 years, the simple interest on Rs. 7,000 at 10% rate of interest S.I. will become Rs. 2,100.
