Time taken to speed up from 10 m/s to 50 m/s is 8 seconds.

Explanation

Given that mass of object (m) = 1000 kg, initial speed (u) = 10 m/s, final speed (v) = 50 m/s, Force applied (F) = 5000 N

We have to find time taken by object to speed up at that speed.

Solution

At first using Newton's 2nd law :-

Force = Mass * Acceleration

→ 5000 = 1000 * Acceleration

→ Acceleration = 5000/1000

Acceleration = 5 m/s²

Now using 1st equation of motion :

v = u + at

→ 50 = 10 + 5t

→ 50 - 10 = 5t

→ 40 = 5t

→ t = 40/5

t = 8 s

Therefore, time taken by object to speed up to 50 m/s is 8 seconds.

Answer:

GIVEN,

mass=1000 kg

initial velocity =10 m/s

final velocity=50 m/s

FORCE=5000 N

so ATQ, F=mx(v-u/t)

          5000 N =1000 (50-10/t)

             5000N= 1000(40/t)

                  5000N= 40000/t

                  t= 40000/5000

                  t=8s

hope it helps.....................................
