In how much time will a sum double itself at 20% per annum?

Given,
rate = 20%
let principal be 100 . then , double itself= 2×100
=200
SI = A-P
= 200-100
= 100
time= SI×100/P× R
= 100×100/100×20
= 10000/2000
= 5

Hence, the required time is 5 years
