Solution :

♢ Let the principal ( P ) = x

Amount ( A ) = 3x

Simple interest = Amount - Principle

\qquad 3x - x

\qquad 2x

\rule {300}{1.5}

☆ Rate of interest ( R ) = 10%

☆ Let the time = T years

\rule {300}{1.5}

Now ,

( PTR )/100 = S.I

➳ T = ( 100 × S.I )/( PR )

➳ T = ( 100 × 2x )/( x × 10 )

➳ 10 × 2

Answer : 20 years
