small intestine is the site of complete digestion because food is changed into chyme*(paste like structure formed by chemical digestion and mechanical churning of food)but after chyme goes to duodenum (sac like structure) where bile juice and pancreatic juice is mixed after it goes to small intestine where water is absorbed by villi( finger like projections increase surface area for absorbtion of water) ...
