Answer:  Heamoglobin

Heamoglobin present in the red blood cells is responsible for transport of oxygen as well as carbon dioxide. In lungs it binds with oxygen to form oxy heamoglobin and in tissues it releases the oxygen and binds with carbon dioxide to form carbamino haemoglobin.
