In India female work force participation is very low. Explain the reason

(1) Due to development in industrial sector, mining sector, real-estate sector- agricultural land are converted into Non-Agricultural land. Thus, agricultural land is shrinking. Hence, this is cause for declined rural women labour participation.
(2) According to MNREGA(Mahatma Gandhiji Rural Employment Guarentee Act) Yojana, women labour should be paid wages for certain number of days. But, women labours are paid wages for lesser number of days.
(3) Non-Availabity of Non-Agriculture jobs(like road construction, construction sites) for rural women.
(4) Long distance between workplace and home increases commute time and thus, decreasing time for family. Therefore, urban women are unable to focus much on family duties.
(5) This generation Urban Women are more focussed about their children career rather than their professional achievements.
(6) Many Indian Companies have implemented American Models like extending work hours, compulsory attendance on weekends. Thus, reducing time for family duties.
(7) Salaries paid and Employment rate of Urban Women has been reduced by the company after enforcement of Maternity Benefit Bill, 2016.
(8) Negative impact of well-educated and well-salaried spouse.
