In India, there are no better medical facilities, although it is improving, but still it is in developing phase, which leads to a higher number of deaths and hence shorter life span of individuals. Moreover, sexual talks are still considered taboo and people does not talk about the contraceptions and thus, family size is large specially in villages. Also, people wants to have a boy child, which contributes to the large size of the family. Thus, India has higher birth rates. Indian government has advocated various schemes over the last decades where they come up with slogans like "Hum do hamare do" and also contribute largely towards girls child importance. But still, in reality shorter life span of many individuals and higher birth rate leads India's population towards younger age.
