Answers
First of all what is contrast: it is the state of being strikingly different from something else, and 'physical' in Geography means the relief features like Mountains, plains, valleys, plateaus etc.
India is indeed diverse when it comes to its physical nature. Starting from the North we have high Himalayas resulted from the collision of Eurasian plate and the Indo-Australian plate, featuring rugged structure of sedimentary rocks and just below it the vast expanse of Northern plains start, in which soils are fertile filled with alluvium which is ideal for agrarian activities and these region are the most densely populated area due to soil significance and river systems. Going to the west we have Thar desert which is arid and sandy, on the North-east there are flat lands along Jaintia, Garo and Khasi hills. In Central-east we have Chhotanagpur plateau with Aravali and Vindhya ranges on the Central-east, and rest of the South is Deccan Plateau which is considered as old landmass in India.
