This has been achieved by adopting a number of improved agriculture practices i.e., the green revolution. This can be classified into three major groups :

1.         Crop variety improvement - This can be achieved by introducing the desirable characters into crop varieties that can produce high yields under different conditions.

2.         Crop production improvement - To increase the productivity of crop per acre.

Crop protection management - To protect crop from the nutritional loss.
