In iodometric tiration yellow color is due to?

In the beginning of the titration the iodine concentration is higher due to which the solution appears reddish brown.But as the titration proceeds the conc. of iodine decreases the colour changes to lighter shade of brown ,then pale yellow and finally YELLOW
