No. Java is completely a different platform than q basic. Basically, ICSE (which i can be sure you are in) preffers to teach q basic only till the 8th standard. Java is started from class nine and in ICSE board exam JAVA from its basic in class 9 till class 10 will come. It will consist of 60 marks programming and rest will be theory.

The syllabus is from the theories like 'key words' and ' definition of classes' to various kind of programs in scanner class and Buffered Reader.
