If its lollipop or below lollipop then it's not possible to root it by kingoroot or other rooting app if not try rooting by PC for upper version of lollipop (this is only way)

rooting app depends upon the purpose u r rooting for
According to you , that app knows that what is the purpose for my rooting e.g if i m rooting for upgrading my software version then it won't root my device but i only doing it for fun then i will be succed and that app can read my mind
