The colour shown by almost every metal of D-block is due to unpaired electrons present in the d-subshell, but Mn in +7 oxidation state is coloured though there are no electrons.

Lets take the example of KMnO₄ where Mn has +7 oxidation state;

This colour of KMnO₄ (purple) arises due to ligand to metal charge transfer.

This is not due to d-d transition because manganese has an oxidation state of +7 implying the absence of any d electrons.
