In lean management, continuous movement is also known as Kaizen.

  • Kaizen is the core of lean management. In lean movement, the main objective to achieve perfection. After the second world war, Kaizen developed in Japan. It began gaining popularity in the manufacturing segment.
  • One of the main reasons Toyota became the largest automobile manufacturer was due to the applicability of Kaizen. They had always strived for improvement which made them the biggest manufacturer in automobiles from being small carmakers.
  • In lean management, they make continuous improvements by cutting down on waste i,e. Mura, Muda, and Muri, producing a customer-valued product.
