In his Second Inaugural speech, in line 17-20, the United States President Abraham Lincoln refers the one party which "would make war" as Confederacy and the other which " would accept war" as Union.
Abraham Lincoln begin the sentence in a subdued tone and make an emotional appeal for reconciliation. He used the passive voice throughout his speech.
