Solution:

It is given that the XY ||MN

So according to the similarity of the triangle the ratio of the sides of the triangle must be equal for all the sides.

So,

• LX/MX = LY/NY
• 6/4 = 3/NY
• NY = 2cm

LN = LY + YN

• LN  = 3 + 2
• LN = 5 cm

The length of LN  is 5 cm
