In the medieval period, Khet batai was known as the term used to describe a method of land revenue assessment.
In Khet batai, the crop was divided when it was in the field itself, the division of the field used to be marked.
Whereas, in Land batai, the crop stacked, cut in heaps, the grain was not separated and the division was made.
