In merchant of Venice what did shylock said to duke that if he was not given his justice what would happen to Venice.please give right answer else i will report good answer 5 star and brainliest marked

Shylock is somewhat threatening the duke because in case Shylock does not get justice then Venice has a rule that states all aliens (i.e people from different states) are given the same rights as the citizens of Venice. if Shylock doesn't get justice then the duke isn't abiding by law and he would be punished. in case they even try to bend laws as Bassanio suggested then other people would also use this as an example and exploit the citizens of different states.
