He is not worried completely about his life. He just wants to help his friend, Bassanio, and nothing else. For him he is ready to even die.

In Merchant of Venice, the character Antonio had a very melancholic attitude towards life and death.
In the very beginning of the play, one could see how he was sad for no apparent reason and had a depressing tone towards life.
He had no wills or wishes whatsoever and yet had a strong dedication and attachment towards his friends, especially Basanio.
Even in the end, at the mouth of trial and death, he was willing to give up his life without a second thought. His approach towards death too, was depressing and he was willing to sacrifice for the sake of his friend.
