QUESTION :

In mesosphere, there is no such gas which can absorb the solar radiation (UV RAYS OF SUN). Due to this what happens to the temperature of mesosphere?

ANSWER :

OPTION ( A )

EXPLANATION :

  • There is no gas to absorb heat energy.
  • Thus the layer has to be cold
  • In fact the atmosphere is hot only due to absorption of heat.
  • If no absorption is there , then the body will be cold
  • This logic applies to mesosphere

Hope it helps ya :-)

Anonymous: what is the mistake in the book?
SwAtHiiii: Theres written " IN MESOSPHERE, THE CONCENTRATION OF OZONE IS VERY LOW AND THERE IS NO GAS WHICH CAN ABSORB THE SOLAR RADIATION AND raises the temperature *
