Answer:

The upper surface of leaf is greener than its lower surface because of the presence of mesophyll cells which contains chlorophyll. Due to more amount of chlorophyll on the upper surface more light energy is trapped hence more amount light of green wavelength is reflected.

Answer:

because the upper surface is the one exposed to air , water and sunshine and also it plays an important role in protecting the plant like dripping off the excess water as it is smooth and takes part in photosynthesis as it's green, while the lower surface is just meant for respiration as it contains small pores called stomata and thus, the lower surface is not as shiny and green as the upper surface .
